Caveat: Any mention of “oils” in this BLOG are specifically referencing Young Living Essential Oils. Let me be very clear here: this blog is not written for marketing purposes. I have traveled this road for long enough and this is the first time since my symptoms began that I have found something that has worked. It is working better than prescriptions, diet changes, massage, or any other thing I have tried. I want to share this with you!

I cannot vouch for the effectiveness of any other brand of oils. Young Living oils are pure therapeutic grade oils. Their production is monitored from “Seed to Seal” and they contain no fillers. What is the difference? All of the oils I have encountered at whole food and health stores claim to be “pure” oil, but the definition of “pure” is very lax. This is a link to a further description of what constitutes a “pure” oil. It is published on the Young Living website but I have also verified this through sources not related to Young Living. Because of this it is imperative to note that any reference to ingestion of oils is only safe if you are using Young Living oils. They are safe to ingest and even to use in cooking. This caveat will be repeated any time I happen to mention ingestion of oils.

So What About These Oils?

Essential Oils are concentrations of the oils found inside plants. Plants (usually) do not have teeth or claws so their mechanism for survival are antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral and pest repellant oils. Without these plants would not survive. These properties are inherent to the oils. Tea tree oil, for instance is a potent antifungal. Oils not only work against certain conditions – like fungal infections, but more importantly work with the body. The goal is “to enhance the body’s innate ability to fight disease and return itself to health”. (quoted from The Herbal Drugstore, Linda B. White, M.D., and Steven Foster) There is an entire chemical science behind how these oils affect us on a cellular level. There are a lot of big scientific words involved such as “sesquiterpenes” and “phenols” and you can research those if you want to (there are several books listed below) but basically what these “terpenes” do is erase bad information from the cell’s DNA and allow information to be rewritten. Sounds crazy, right? I have verified this information with sources not associated with Young Living. What does this mean? Possibility! This means that not only do the oils carry the ability to positively affect health conditions, but also can change emotional patterns stored in your body on the cellular level. Further oils have been used for centuries – maybe the gifts of frankincense and myrrh ring a bell? Maybe…just maybe it is time to throw out the pill bottles and try something new. Are you taking prescriptions that treat the side effects of another prescription? (me too). I’m ready to stop the insanity. There has to be another way. How about you?
